The answer is No. The Lunar New Year is very different of the Chinese New Year.

The lunar calendar is like a cookie, the traditional Chinese calendar is like a pizza.

Although the basic materials are similar(it’s all about the earth), the development, detail, history and humanistic sentiments are different.

In fact, the traditional Chinese calendar is include lunar and solar calendar, is an advanced calendar.

So don’t confuse the two, please respect the traditional Chinese culture.
